Our Mission

My Story

When I began my motherhood journey, I was in my early twenties and solo parenting a special needs child. I felt isolated in my new role and and soon found myself in a state of extreme burnout. My “village” was pretty bare bones at that point in time! As my son’s second birthday approached, my burnout spiraled into a mental health emergency. I so deeply craved a break from the stress and overwhelm of my life that I contemplated suicide. Instead, I did the thing that scared me the most; I asked for help.

During this period of healing and rediscovery, I set the intention to change every area of my life. I knew I was meant for more. I soon discovered my calling to help other moms, launched The Midwest Mama, and the rest is history!

My World

My family is my world. I’m married to my best friend, Kenton and together we are raising two very wild boys.

Jude (age 6) is my dinosaur-obsessed, lie on the couch and read a book kid. He would rather have a dance party or color than be forced to play a sport. I can’t say I blame him! He definitely inherited my sassiness, creative spirit, and empathetic heart!

Jeremiah (age 2) is my dirt and sports kiddo. He would live outside if we let him! He is also completely fearless and is constantly being told to “get down.” Despite his monkey tendencies, Jeremiah has been the perfect addition to our family! He gives the sweetest kisses and his smile can light up a room. If I could describe him in one way, it would be Sour Patch Kid.

When I’m not chasing my boys, you will probably find me reading, thrifting, crafting, or taking a nap. In fact, all of those things sequentially with a latte in-hand would probably be my perfect day!
